Qualifying

Saturday, 29/04/23, 09.30 – 09.55, Weather: Cloudy, 12°C

In this championship there are several practice sessions available on Friday, followed by the official part with one qualifying session of 25 minutes, followed by two or three races of 25 minutes each. Two races were planned here at the Hungaroring.
The grid for the first race will be drawn up in the order of the fastest qualifying time achieved by each driver in the qualifying.
The grid for the second race will be drawn up in the order of the race 1 result. The grid for the third race will be drawn up in the order of the second best qualifying time achieved by each driver in the qualifying. Should two or more drivers have identical times, priority will be given to the one who set it first.
Ethan Ischer and Reno Francot took part in this racing event for our team. For Reno, this was his first ever racing event in a Formula racing car. Everyone was very excited about how it would go, but everything went very well. Unfortunately, for various reasons, there were only a total of 6 starters in this category. From the second event onwards at least twice as many starters are expected.

Race One (25 minutes)

Sunday, 30/04/23, 09.20, Weather: Sunny, 15°C

The start of the first race of the new championship took place in bright sunshine on Sunday morning. Ethan got off well from pole position and didn't miss a beat. Reno, who was a bit nervous, got off a little less well than third placed Sauter. That's why Sauter managed to slip past Reno and to install himself in 2nd place into the first corner. But Reno did well after that and safely held on to 3rd place throughout the race. Ethan made no mistake and steadily increased his gap to Sauter. He deservedly won his first Formula 4 race! Reno safely brought home an excellent 3rd place in his very first race in a Formula racing car.

Race Two (25 minutes)

Sunday, 30/04/23, 14.30, Weather: Sunny, 18°C

The second race got off to a good start, but Sauter was close in the first corner and attacked Ethan. The two touched and Sauter then had to drive to the pits and have the front wing changed. Ethan was able to continue, but initially came under pressure from Reno for a short time. Later, Ethan established a lead of over 3.6 seconds over his teammate and his second win of the weekend was not in question! Reno did well but was unable to do anything with the tires deteriorating badly. Sauter was back in line at the end of the field and caught up well, but his gap was just too big. With that, Taylor took 3rd place.
We are proud of our drivers and the great team result and are already looking forward to the next race weekend .
