GP3 OFFICIAL TEST DAYS IN ESTORIL

The GP3 Series teams were back together once more on 6^th/7^th November for the final two official post-season test days of 2012. These were held at the Circuito do Estoril in Portugal and 20 drivers were in attendance including Samin Gomez (VEN) and Alex Fontana (CH) who drove for us. Patric Niederhauser (CH) was still out of action with an injured hand and so could not drive.

It was dry throughout the first day, and temperatures reached an agreeable 20°C. Alex suffered a set back due to a defective engine sensor, which caused loss of power, but was still able to set the 10^th fastest time in the morning session, while Samin improved her lap times steadily and hovered around 15^th all day.

The second day dawned grey, but the track was still dry. Shortly before noon it started raining, by which time Alex was 9^th and Samin 15^th. The afternoon session was also wet, and temperatures dropped to just a little above 10°C. Despite the difficult conditions Alex again reached 10^th place and Samin was once more a respectable 15^th.

This brings the official 2012 GP3 Season to an end. GP3 will be back in action early next year when pre-season testing commences with the eagerly anticipated new GP3/13 car.
