Press Release 08 / 2014

17th April 2014

LAST GP3 TESTS – JMS IS READY!

GP3-Series

The GP3 teams met up on 16th and 17th April at the GP circuit near Barcelona (E) for the last two pre-season test days, with 26 drivers in attendance. Pal Varhaug (NOR), Mathéo Tuscher (CH) and Adderly Fong (PRC) were once again driving for Jenzer Motorsport.

In pleasantly warm weather conditions, new tyres were tried on the morning of day one as per the team’s schedule. Unfortunately, for various reasons, our drivers were unable to get the best out of them which meant that come the lunch break Adderly was back in 14th, ahead of Mathéo (15th) and Pal, who was 18th. Changes were made to the set up for the afternoon, and as a result Mathéo finished the session in an excellent 4th place, with Pal in 10th and Adderly in 16th.

The second day began well, and the morning results showed Pal in 2nd place, Adderly 12th and Mathéo 14th. They all pushed hard again in the afternoon, and Pal again finished in a brilliant 2nd place, with Mathéo ending the session 5th and Adderly 7th. That meant all three of our drivers were in the top seven, and they had all performed really well.

After such an impressive run we are now really looking forward to the first race of the season! This will also take place in Barcelona as part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix programme on 10th/11th May 2014.
