Concept of Formula Renault 2.0

World Series by Renault Weekends
Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup

The World Series by Renault (Formula Renault 3.5) is the showcase discipline in the independent race meetings that Renault has organized since 2005. These European race weekends introduced a new concept in Europe, associating top-flight sporting competition with broader-based public attractions and entertainment. On the competition side, along with the World Series by Renault, the race meetings feature a number of other spectacular categories. Of paramount importance is the internationally renowned Formula Renault 2.0 category, the benchmark for initiation class single seaters. After a three years break the legendary race car is being produced yet again, in a modernised version, by the stalwart Italian company Tatuus. Other successful disciplines are also on show, in particular the European Mégane Trophy Championship. No less than five Grand Prix circuits across Europe are on the calendar and the World Series by Renault FR3.5 also supports the prestigious Monaco F1 GP event.

TV coverage is assured, with programmes produced and broadcast by RPM, using 15 cameras, an outside broadcast van, a satellite network and a staff of around 45 people. Distribution is to a vast number of channels worldwide with the broadcasts on Motors TV or the Sky Sports channels in Europe.
