CAPRICIOUS WEATHER AT THE FIA F3 TESTS IN JEREZ

FIA F3

The 10 teams of the FIA F3 Championship met on 5th / 6th April 2022 for further official test days at the Circuito do Jerez (E). Changeable weather accompanied the days.

The first morning the track was wet from overnight rain, and later dry spells alternated with rain showers. Before midday, William was 8th, Ido was 13th and Federico 25th. It rained heavily during the lunch break and the track was wet in the afternoon. Our team tested different settings. Of our drivers, Ido was the only one who fitted slicks at the very end when the track was drying. This put Ido in 13th place, William was 18th and Federico 21st.

The second morning is usually used to carry out a qualifying session. But since the track was wet at first, it was difficult to start the program like this. The track was dry before noon and all 30 vehicles were on the hunt for fast lap times. William finished 16th, Federico was 25th and Ito 30th. In the afternoon the weather calmed down and race simulations could be run. In the end, Ido was 22nd, William 23rd and Federico 27th.
