Enea Frey with Jenzer Motorsport in the FIA F4 Italian Championship

GP3-Series

We are pleased to announce Enea Frey, the young Swiss rookie, as a driver in the 2024 Italian F4 Championship. Enea becomes a teammate of Ethan Ischer and Adam Hideg.

Enea Frey (CH), 15 years old, from the canton of Aargau, has had a successful international karting career. At the age of nine he started in the Swiss Kart Championship, which he finished 12th in the Mini category in 2018. In 2019 he finished 7th in the Super Mini and had already competed in several races abroad. In 2020, as an X30 Junior, he took 14th place at the Trofeo Margutti and 6th place in the WSK Champions Cup. In 2021, Enea reached 3rd place in the WSK Euro Series as OK Junior, and he finished the WSK Cup Final in 9th place. In 2022 he achieved pole position in the WSK Series Finals. After many more international races, he achieved 11th place as an OK driver in the South Garda Winter Cup in 2023 and 14th place in the Karting World Championship. There were also some test drives in Formula 4 towards the end of the year. Enea then decided to switch to formula motorsport and began his further career at the beginning of this month with the races of the FWS Spanish Winter Championship with our team.

Enea Frey: «I’m happy to have the chance to compete in Formula 4, especially with such an established team like Jenzer Motorsport. Me and the team are ready to show what we are capable of!

Andreas Jenzer:
«It is very exciting and gratifying that Enea is joining our team in formula motorsport, because Enea's father was our driver in 1997/1998, back then with great success in Formula Ford. Enea went through the tough school of international karting. We will work hard and accompany Enea on his way to becoming a professional racing driver.»
