Final round at Brno. Gino Trappa wins the 2025 FIA F4 CEZ championship!
The sixth and final race event of the FIA F4 CEZ (Central European Zone) Championship took place at the historic race track near Brno (Czech Republic). With fast chicanes and a mixed layout with elevation changes, our drivers were once again truly challenged on this demanding track. Gino was keen to win the championship, but Max still had a chance to achieve that goal, too. Behind them, third and fourth place still also had to be decided. An exciting weekend was expected.

FIA F4 CEZ Championship
Race One (25 minutes)
Saturday, 23/08/25, 11.05, Weather: Cloudy, 20°C
The start of the first race went well. Javier got off to the best start and was first into the corner. Max moved up to second position, and Nicolas was third. Kutskov had shot forward and was ahead of Paatz and Gino. Gino was very nervous and didn't get off to a good start. He was running in sixth place, and it was very difficult to gain positions without taking too many risks. Florentin, who was competing in his very first race weekend in a Formula 4 car, was very cautious at the start and had to find his rhythm first. The positions in the top six places remained unchanged for long laps. Max was within touching distance of the leader but couldn't find a way past Javier. Towards the end of the race, Kutskov managed to steal third place from Nicolas when Nicolas didn't quite get the best corner. Further back in the field, there was also fierce fighting for positions. When two others dropped back, Florentin took advantage and moved up to 11th place. He thus completed his very first Formula 4 race without incident. Javier deservedly climbed to the top step of the podium after a flawless race. Max took home an excellent second place, and with the points he earned, reduced his championship gap to Gino. Nicolas finished 4th, and Gino crossed the finish line in 6th.

FIA F4 CEZ Championship
Race Two (25 minutes)
Sunday, 07/09/25, 10.10, Weather: Sunny, 16°C
The second race was started according to the results of the first race. Javier again got the best start and immediately took the lead. Max also got off to a good start and held on to his second place. Behind him, there was a fierce battle for positions going on. Nicolas slid far to the outside in a corner and had a contact with another driver and was then able to rejoin the field in 15th place. Gino had gained a place at the start, but was then hit, lost momentum, and lost the position he had gained. This put him in 6th place, but luckily he was able to continue. Florentin was in 13th place after the first lap. Javier had increased his gap to Max and ultimately took his second win of the weekend unchallenged. Max managed to take second place, and thus again score some valuable points. Gino fought for positions in a thrilling battle with three other drivers and managed to finish 5th, gaining slightly more points than in the first race. Nicolas worked his way into the top ten during the race and finished in 9th place. Florentin again gained a wealth of experience in his second race, bringing his car to the finish line undamaged in 12th place.

FIA F4 CEZ Championship
Race Three (25 minutes)
Sunday, 07/09/25, 15.00, Weather: Sunny, 20°C
Javier had drawn the number 4 when drawing the number for the reverse starting order. This meant that the first four from the result of the first race were reversed for the starting grid of the third race.
The final race of the 2025 FIA F4 CEZ Championship was going to be the championship decider. Gino Trappa was leading, but Max Karhan could still become champion. Kutskov started the final race with the best tires, so it was no surprise that he took the lead. Max immediately tried to attack him, but this was a difficult task on such a flowing track. Nicolas was running in 3rd place, Javier was 4th. Gino, who had started again from 6th place, moved up one place to 5th. Florentin was running in 12th place. After a few laps, there was an accident at the rear of the field, and the safety car was immediately deployed. The clean-up took a long time, and the race was red-flagged. The restart took place behind the safety car. The final laps of the race were tense, but there were no further changes in the top five. Kutskov won, Max took second place, and Nicolas climbed onto the podium in third. Javier finished the race in fourth place. And for Gino, fifth place was enough to win the championship! Florentin also survived the third race of his young career without any damage, finishing in 12th place.
Congratulations to Gino Trappa on winning the 2025 FIA F4 Championship!
