Rookie podium race win in Vallelunga for Severiukhin; Points for Severiukhin, Schropp, Frey und Harrison
The third of seven race meetings in the Italian FIA Formula 4 Championship took place at the technical circuit of Vallelunga near Rome. 40 drivers were registered, and after heavy rain downpour on Friday morning, the event was accompanied by wonderfully warm weather.
Qualifying
Friday, 23/05/25, 18.10 – 18.30 Q S1, Weather: Sunny, 20°C
Friday, 23/05/25, 18.40 – 19.00 Q S2
With 40 drivers, the number of participants exceeded the track's capacity for racing. According to the regulations, there were two qualifying series, which were drawn by lot. Each series had 20 minutes. The results of the two series were then used to form three groups: Groups A, B, and C. These groups then each competed in two qualifying races: Group B versus C, Group A versus B, and Group A versus C. The top 36 drivers competed in the final race in the end.
Shortly before the qualifying sessions, a heavy rain shower hit the track. Then the sun shone again. Everyone had to cope with a constantly changing, drying track. The conditions were therefore very challenging.

Qualifying Race One (2530 minutes + 1 lap) – Group A versus Group B
Saturday, 24/05/25, 12.10, Weather: Cloudy, 24°C
The sun was shining on Saturday morning. Artem got off to a great start, fighting his way up to 7th place. Enea also appeared in the top ten after the first lap, already in 9th. Teo had lost a few places and was now 12th. Bader was running in 23rd place after an exciting first lap, and Bart, who had only gotten away from the start when the entire field had passed him, immediately set about making up places. Unfortunately, he collided with Tanju and damaged his suspension. Bart made it back to the pit lane, where he unfortunately had to retire from the race. Following an accident, the safety car took over the field for a few laps. No one benefited at the restart, and there were no changes in the rankings. Bader had moved up to 17th place. Then he went wide off the track. He managed to rejoin at the rear of the field. With a few laps to go, there was another accident, and the safety car took over again. Artem was now 6th, Enea 8th, Teo 11th and Bader 21st. They brought these positions home at the end, as the safety car remained at the front of the field until the end of the race because the crashed car could not be removed before the time ran out. With his great overall position Artem had also secured 2nd place on the podium in the Rookie results.

Qualifying Race Three (25 minutes + 1 lap) – Group A versus Group C
Sunday, 25/05/25, 09.00, Weather: Sunny, 14°C
The sun was shining on Sunday morning for the start of the third qualifying race. Teo got off to a good start and held 8th place. He then drove very well and moved up to 5th place. Bart managed to gain several places on the first lap and was now up to 10th. Bader also improved his position and moved up to 16th. On lap four, the safety car was deployed after an accident. The clean-up took some time. At the restart, Teo was overtaken by Olivieri and was now 6th. Vinci bumped into Bart, causing him to lose momentum and as a result even two cars, Vinci and Dupe, overtook him. In the following laps, Bart managed to reclaim 10th place. Bader defended 16th place for long laps, then dropped back to 17th briefly, but managed to move up to 15th in the final laps. Olivieri received a 25-second penalty for causing the collision with Sammalisto. As a result, our drivers each moved up one place at the end. Teo finished an excellent race in 5th place, Bart also scored points in 9th place, and Bader finished a respectable 14th.
After the race, Vinci received a 10-second penalty for his collision with Bart. This moved Bart up to 8th place. Dupe received a 25-second penalty. Due to these penalties, Bader even moved up two positions, now almost touching the top ten in 12th place.

Enea had a collision and came into the pit lane, where he received a new front wing and immediately rejoined the field. Bader managed to avoid the accidents but had lost several places and was in 26th place. At the restart, Bart and Artem held their positions.
