TSUNODA TOP IN ABU DHABI TESTS

The GP3 teams stayed on in Abu Dhabi after the final races of the season to take part in the three official winter test days.

Tsunoda (JPN), Oscar Piastri (AUS), Federico Malvestiti (I) and Ben Hingeley (GB). Yuki Tsunoda impressed with consistent performances throughout the three days and set the second best lap time on the third day of testing.

November 29^th: Jannes, Yuki and Ben drove on the first day and ended the day in the following positions (morning session/afternoon session): Jannes 9^th and 8^th, Yuki 4^th and 6^th, and; Ben 12^th and 15^th.

November 30^th: Yuki, Oscar and Federico drove on the second day and gained the following positions (morning session/afternoon session): Yuki 8^th and 6^th, Oscar 13^th and 4^th, and Federico 20^th and 19^th.

December 1^st: On the third day, newcomer Yuki managed to improve once again, finishing second in the final session just 0.046 hundredths of a second off the fastest time. All results: Yuki 12^th and 2^nd, Oscar 6^th and 4^th, and Federico 16^th and 19^th.

As we look back on an eventful 2018 season, we also mark the end of the GP3 Series after 9 years. Next year we will continue with the preseason test days in March with the new FIA F3 Championship, which takes the place of the GP3 Series. We look forward to seeing you again then!
