Severiukhin shines in Vallelunga
The second of seven race meetings in the Italian FIA Formula 4 Championship took place at the technical circuit of Vallelunga near Rome. 44 competitors were present for the meeting. Sunny weather with increasingly hot temperatures accompanied the event.
Qualifying
Friday, 22/05/26, 18.10 – 18.30 Q S1, Weather: Sunny, 20°C
Friday, 22/05/26, 18.40 – 19.00 Q S2
With 47 drivers, the number of participants exceeded the track's capacity for racing. According to the regulations, there were two qualifying series, which were drawn by lot. Each series had 20 minutes. The results of the two series were then used to form three groups: Groups A, B, and C. These groups then each competed in two qualifying races: Group B versus C, Group A versus B, and Group A versus C. The top 36 drivers competed in the final race in the end.
Artem Severiukhin will now compete in the FIA F4 Italian Championship for a second season with our team, starting with this event. Welcome!

Qualifying Race One (25 minutes + 1 lap) – Group A versus Group B
Saturday, 23/05/26, 11.40, Weather: Sunny, 24°C
The start of the first race went well, although there was immediate fighting for position. Artem had moved up a place and was close to the car in front. He made several attacks, but it wasn't easy. When he ran wide, two competitors overtook him again. Artem didn't give up, but another car braked too late and cut his right rear tire. With a puncture, Artem limped into the pits, where a new tire was fitted. He rejoined the race and eventually finished in 18th place. Bader had a good start and then managed to gain several positions. After a safety car period, he appeared in the top ten. He drove aggressively and brought home a great 8th place. Levi initially dropped back a bit but staged a strong comeback in the second half of the race. His 12th-place finish earned him some points. Nicolas had worked his way up to 15th place when contact with another driver resulted in a drive-through penalty for him. Nicolas drove through the pit lane as required and rejoined the race in 26th position. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough time to make up the deficit and gain any positions.
After the race, some drivers received time penalties. This changed the ranking at the top and Bader moved up to 6th place.

Qualifying Race Two (25 minutes + 1 lap) – Group A versus Group B
Saturday, 23/05/26, 18.00, Weather: Sunny, 26°C
Groups A and B had to wait until late afternoon before their race was finally scheduled. The sun was already low, which impaired visibility in some areas. The start went well, but several incidents soon occurred with cars sliding off the track. Bader, who had originally started from 18th position, made an excursion through the gravel trap, costing him several places and momentum. After contact with Zheng he found himself at the back of the field and fought to regain positions. Bader ultimately finished in 22nd place. Elia held his 14th position for several laps and, after a safety car period, improved to 12th place. Elia was now in a fiercely contested group but managed to defend 12th place, and thus points, to the finish.
Several penalties were handed out after the race, including a time penalty for Elia, which dropped him to 19th place. Bader received a different penalty; he was to start six places further back in his next race.

Qualifying Race Three (25 minutes + 1 lap) – Group A versus Group B
Sunday, 24/05/26, 09.00, Weather: Sunny, 21°C
Sunday again saw a cloudless sky over Vallelunga, and the temperature was rising. Contrary to the statements made by various drivers in pre-race interviews that they intended to finish cleanly and score points, the start was chaotic, and a heavy crash immediately brought out the safety car. A car had been sliding across the track directly in front of Artem, and thanks to a quick reaction, Artem managed to get past it via the grass. He now found himself in 4th place. All of our drivers eventually made it through the chaos. Levi had maneuvered his way up to 8th, Elia was 13th, and Nicolas 16th. The race restarted very aggressively. Artem defended 4th place well and stayed close to the car in front. There was fierce fighting around Levi, who suffered a puncture on his rear tire and had to pit for a new one. He rejoined the race in 25th place. Elia had improved to 10th place and intended to avoid any mistakes. Nicolas also needed a good result and was focused on bringing home 13th. Another safety car was required, and the cleanup was expected to take so long that the race director decided to finish the race behind the safety car. As a result, Artem finished in 4th place, Elia in 10th, Nicolas in 13th, and Levi in 23rd.

Final Race (25 minutes + 1 lap)
Sunday, 24/05/26, 15.45, Weather: Sunny, 27°C
All our drivers had managed to start in the final race. But shortly after the start, three of our five were already out! Bondarev and Artem collided, sending both of them off the track. Behind them, Elia then careened through the gravel, bounced back, and hit Bader, who was driving past at that moment. The collision sent both cars off the track. Another car also went off. There was a long safety car period until all the debris was cleared. The drivers involved were visibly annoyed, but thankfully unharmed. The race restarted on lap five. Nicolas was in 17th place, Levi in 19th. Over the next few laps, both tried to gain positions, but everyone in the midfield was driving very strongly. Nicolas had already moved up to 15th when he dropped back to 18th. He worked his way back up and finished the race in 16th place. Levi initially lost several positions but then managed to climb back up to 18th by the end.
Thus, the first temperaturewise "hot" race weekend of the season did not end quite as everyone had hoped.
