Press Release 12 / 2016

9th June 2016

Promising top ten positions

GP3-Series

The seven GP3 Series teams met up on 7th and 8th June 2016 for the official test days at the Red Bull Ring near Spielberg (A). 23 drivers were in attendance. Akash Nandy (MAS), Oscar Tunjo (COL) and Richard Gonda (SVK) all drove for Jenzer.

Agreeable temperatures and dry weather accompanied the test days and we were able to use the time to prepare for the race which will take place at the end of June on the same circuit. We focussed on testing different set ups and running a number of race simulations.

Our boys all put in very promising performances and were classified as follows:
Oscar achieved an excellent result of 4th on the first morning, and was 14th in the afternoon.
Richard was 20th in the morning and in the afternoon reached a splendid 8th place.
Akash was a respectable 18th in the morning and classified 22nd in the afternoon.
On day two Oscar managed to reach a very promising 7th place both in the morning and in the afternoon.
Richard was 16th in the morning, and in the afternoon again netted a beautiful top ten position with 9th place.
Akash was 21st in the morning but was hit by technical gremlins in the afternoon, just when he was on his fastest lap. That meant he was again classified 21st.
