OFFICIAL TEST DAYS IN VALENCIA
The seven GP3 Series teams met up on 7th and 8th April 2016 for the official test days at the Circuito Ricardo Tormo near Valencia (E). 24 drivers were in attendance. For Jenzer Motorsport Akash Nandy (MAS), Oscar Tunjo (COL) and Richard Gonda (SVK) all drove.
The weather was warm and friendly, although the circuit was wet at the start of the second day. During the two days our drivers ran a test program in which different set ups were tried, along with some race distance simulations.
Akash Nandy put in his best performance on day two in the morning with a very good 13th place.
Oscar Tunjo was in the top ten in three sessions out of four with his best result coming on the first morning with an excellent 5th place.
For Richard Gonda it was the very first time he’s sat in a GP3 Series car. He improved steadily and on both afternoons finished in 17th.
Now we are looking forward to the last official pre-season test days, which will take place at Barcelona (E) on 20th/21st April. The first race of the new season will be part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix programme on 13th/15th May 2016, also in Barcelona (E).
