OFFIZIELLE TESTS IN ESTORIL

The seven GP3 Series teams met up between 22^nd and 24^th March 2016 for the official test days at the demanding Circuito do Estoril near Lisbon (P). 24 drivers were in attendance. For Jenzer Motorsport Akash Nandy (MAS), Oscar Tunjo (COL) and Hongli Ye (CHN) all drove. The weather was changeable at first, but then improved quite distinctly.

Akash Nandy improved his performance from one day to t5he next and got his best result on thye afternoon of day three with an excellent 6^th place on the timesheets.

Hongli Ye only drove on the third day which didn’t give him much time to adapt to the more powerful car. In the afternoon he was soon in the top but then he lost the car and ended his run with a crash. His lap time was still good enough for a very good 10^th place at the end.

Oscar Tunjo, who shone in the GP3 Series in 2015 in selected races (1^st place at RedBull Ring), managed to get in the top ten in each session without fail and on the final afternoon at Estoril he finished in an excellent 4^th place.

The next official test days are on 7^th/8^th April in Valencia (E) and 20^th /21^st April 2016 in Barcelona (E). The first race of the new season will be part of the Formula 1 Grand Prix programme on 13^th/15^th May 2016 in Barcelona (E).
