AKASH NANDY IN THE GP3 SERIES
We are delighted to announce that Akash Nandy, the 19-year old from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is joining us in our GP3 Series team:
Akash Nandy has some great racing experience to rely on. This year he has already won the 3-hour of Malaysia Asia Le Mans Series race at Sepang and in 2015 he was runner up in the Formula Remus F3 Championship. In 2014 he claimed 3rd place in the Rookie classification of the Formula Renault 2.0 ALPS championship. Before that Akash was successful in Asia in the Formula Masters China Series (1st place in 2013 at the Macau Grand Prix) and in the Formula BMW JK Racing Series. Akash now feels ready for the next step in his motorsport career and is looking forward to tackling the demanding GP3 Series which runs as part of the Formula 1 family with us.
Andreas Jenzer commented: “With Akash the team has a strong driver and we are convinced that we can achieve top level results with him. We are very motivated and will do our best to make this a successful season”.
The first tests of the GP3 Series will take place on 2nd/3rd March at Magny-Cours (F).
