Race One (40 Minutes)
Saturday, 01/08/20, 09.25, Weather: Sunny, 22°C
The start of the first race went well. Matteo slotted into 15th place after the first lap and was doing well. He improved his position to 13th place, fended off to hold the position and drove a very good pace until the last lap. Shortly before the end, Fernandez launched an attack on him and was almost in front when the two touched and both landed in the gravel. Fernandez was able to continue, but the race was unfortunately over for Matteo. Since he could have prevented the collision, he received a penalty: three places back for the next starting grid. A likely very good result turned into a bad starting position for the race on Sunday. Federico was in 20th place after the start. Calan lost some ground and was catching up from 23rd place. When he caught up with Federico in the fifth lap, he tried an attack. Things went wrong as the two collided. Federico spun and both cars reported damages. Both Federico and Calan were able to come into the pits, but that was the end of the race for both of them. Unfortunately, they both start from the back of the field on Sunday.
The grid for the second race of the weekend was set by reversing the order of the first ten finishers in the first race, with the rest of the places set according to finishing order in the first race.

Race Two (40 Minutes)
Sunday, 02/08/20, 08.35, Weather: Sunny, 16°C
The race started in slightly cooler temperatures. Almost immediately, a couple of drivers spun and came shooting back on track uncontrolled. Calan tried to dodge, but couldn't avoid a collision. The safety car was dispatched so that the stranded vehicles could be claread away. Calan was ok, but his car was badly damaged and his race was already over. A pity! Matteo and Federico went away well, kept away from the incident and were running in 23rd and 24th place respectively. Matteo made some good progressions, improving up to 15th place. In the last laps, Fernandez and Smolyar edged past Matteo with the help of the DRS. Matteo didn’t risk anything and brought home a good 17th place. Federico drove well too. He was involved in some battles for positions and fell back a few places after a maneuver which did not work out. Federico crossed the finish line in 23rd place. Due to a penalty applied to another driver, Matteo moved up to 16th place in the results list.
We are looking forward to the next race which will take place next weekend in Spain, near Barcelona on the Catalunya Circuit.
