OFFICIAL TESTS IN BARCELONA : CALDERON TOP

For the last official test days before the start of the racing season the GP3 Series teams met on 17^th and 18^th April 2018 at the Catalunya Circuit near Barcelona (E). Both days provided pleasantly warm weather.

The first morning’s results looked very promising for Jenzer Motorsport. Tatiana claimed an excellent 2^nd place, Juan Manuel was a splendid 4th and David was not far behind in a beautiful 7^th place.
The afternoon was spent running racing distances and testing set-ups and at the end of the afternoon David was 8^th, Tatiana 12^th and Juan Manuel 16^th.

We used the second morning to carry out a qualifying session simulation as usual. After her fastest lap Tatiana knew that she had been too careful and could have achieved a much faster time, but it was enough to put her in 7^th place. David and Juan Manuel took 14^th and 15^th places respectively, with both of them seeming rather nervous, and getting caught up in traffic.

In the afternoon everyone put in the best effort they could to show what they are capable of. Tatiana shone with the fastest time of the session and stayed on top of the times until shortly before the end of the session when another driver snatched her first place away. However, Tatiana had performed spectacularly well again and finished in a great 2^nd place! Juan Manuel achieved a top result as well with 4^th place, and David finished the day in an equally excellent 6^th. All our drivers have clearly shown that they are a force to be reckoned with!

We are now looking forward to the beginning of the race season, which takes place in three weeks’ time at Barcelona, where GP3 will again be part of the support program for the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
