JUAN MANUEL CORREA ENTERS THE GP3 SERIES

GP3-Series

We are pleased to announce a third driver in our team for the next race of the GP3 Series, which takes place at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) at the end of this week as a support act in the Formula 1 race program:

Juan Manuel Correa, 18-year old American, born in Quito, Ecuador.
Juan Manuel started his motorsport career in 2007, in karting in Ecuador. After nine years in karting, of which the last two years were in Europe, and with titles including Rotax Junior World Champion in 2013, Juan Manuel then continued his career in single seater racing in Europe.
In 2016/2017 Juan Manuel drove successfully in the FIA Formula 4 Championships in Germany and Italy, including three race wins, and will now, as preparation for 2018, compete in the last four rounds of the 2017 GP3 Series with our team.

Juan Manuel: “I feel ready for the next step and I am convinced that the GP3 Series is the right way to go. It is a big challenge to change in the middle of the season, considering the much more powerful car and that, for example, I don’t know the racetrack at Spa, which is legendary. I have to cope with an entirely new environment and I wish to gain a maximum of experience for 2018. I am looking forward to it”

Andreas Jenzer: "We are pleased to welcome Juan Manuel to our team. He has done the maximum preparation possible in the simulator and with our engineers, and we are looking forward to seeing him race in our car."
